  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing an upcoming scheduled lane shift set to occur on the Milford Connector (SR796) in Milford on August 9, 2021. The lane shift is necessary to facilitate ongoing construction activities associated with the replacement of the Wheelers Farms Road Bridge (Bridge 01446) over SR 796 in Milford. The lane shift will remain in place until late fall of 2021.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on RT 254 in Litchfield from the Thomaston town line to Route 118.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 43 in Cornwall from Route 4 to Route 63.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 69 in Waterbury from the Prospect town line to Frost road.

• 7/20/2021 Start of Utility Construction Activities on Route 35 (Main Street) in Ridgefield

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of utility construction activities associated with CTDOT Project 0117-0162 on Route 35 in Ridgefield, beginning the week of August 1, 2021.

• 7/20/2021 Guiderail Upgrades on State Service Road 549 (Birdseye Road) in Farmington

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that guiderail upgrades will be performed on State Service Road 549 (Birdseye Road) in Farmington. Work is anticipated to occur on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, to Wednesday, August 25, 2021.

• 7/20/2021 Scheduled Closure and Detour of Route 69 in Wolcott

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closure and detour of Route 69 in Wolcott beginning at 8 AM on July 26, 2021, with an anticipated reopening on October 7, 2021. The closure and detour are necessary to facilitate construction activities for the replacement of Bridge 03240 carrying Route 69 over Mad River in Wolcott.

• 7/18/2021 Scheduled Nightly Closures of Exit 20 on I-84 Westbound to Route 8 Northbound in Waterbury

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing scheduled nightly closures of Exit 20 on I-84 westbound to Route 8 Northbound in Waterbury from Tuesday, July 20, 2021, through August 2, 2021. The closures will occur from 11 PM to 6 AM. The closures are necessary to facilitate construction activities associated with the Route 8/I-84 Interchange (Mixmaster) rehabilitation project in Waterbury.

• 7/15/2021 Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 10 in Southington and Plainville

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on a 2-mile segment of Route 10 from .01 miles south of the Quinnipiac River overpass to .04 miles north of Route 372 in Southington and Plainville.

• 7/15/2021 Public Information Meeting Concerning Interchange Improvements on I-691 Eastbound to I-91 Northbound in Meriden and Middletown

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation (Department) will conduct a public information meeting concerning the proposed Interchange Improvements on I-691 Eastbound (EB) to I-91 Northbound (NB) in Meriden and Middletown on Thursday, August 5, 2021. • 7/14/2021 Closure of Maple Street On-Ramp (Ramp 5C) to Route 2 Westbound in East Hartford

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the temporary closure of the Maple Street on-ramp (ramp 5C) in East Hartford to Route 2 westbound from Thursday, July 15, 2021, until Friday, July 30, 2021, weather permitting. The closure is necessary to facilitate ongoing construction activities.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that preliminary work activity for the replacement and upgrade of the Coordinated Traffic Signal System (CTSS) on Route 5/15 (Berlin Turnpike) in Berlin, Newington, and Wethersfield is scheduled to start August 1, 2021.

The closure and detour are necessary to facilitate ongoing construction activities associated with the rehabilitation of the Route 8/I-84 Interchange (Mixmaster) project.
