  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closure and detour of Route 82 in Salem. The closure will begin on July 19, 2021 and will remain in place through September 21, 2021. The closure and detour are necessary to facilitate ongoing bridge replacement activities for Bridges 01140 and 05401 carrying Route 82 over East Branch Eight Mile River and Swamp Brook.
