There are lots of bus routes in our cities and towns to take people where they need to go. That includes buses to passenger trains and Bradley International Airport.

CTtransit is the state-owned bus service and is the largest bus operation in Connecticut. There are eight divisions serving different areas of the state.

Bus routes are available across New Haven and connect with bus services for Meriden, Wallingford, Milford, and the lower Naugatuck Valley, plus the New Haven Line and Shore Line East passenger trains.

Bus routes in Stamford also connect to Norwalk buses; the New Haven Line, Shore Line East, and Harlem Line passenger trains; and Bee-Line buses in Westchester County, New York. I-BUS goes between downtown Stamford and White Plains, New York.

Ride the bus and get ADA transit service in Berlin, New Britain, Cromwell, Newington, Plainville, Bristol, and Meriden. DATTCO provides the buses for New Britain’s East Street and South Street routes. ADA service is provided by First Transit for the Greater Hartford Transit District. Questions?

Many areas have their own bus systems and provide special services for people with disabilities and seniors.
GBTA provides bus service in Bridgeport, Fairfield, Stratford, and Trumbull, including ADA paratransit service.

If you have a disability that prevents you from using the public transit bus service in Connecticut, you may be eligible for ADA Paratransit service. ADA Paratransit is a shared ride, advanced reservation, origin-to-destination service for persons with disabilities who are unable to use the public bus service because of their disability.
