CTDOT is holding an in-person public information meeting on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.

CTDOT, Governor Ned Lamont today announced that in the coming days additional trains will be added to the weekday schedule of CTrail's Shore Line East rail service that close gaps in the existing schedule and provide customers with more convenient travel options.

Since the program launched in December 2023, more than 1,000 drivers have activated one of these systems and successfully turned around.

CTDOT, Metro-North Railroad, and Amtrak today reminded customers that trains will operate on modified schedules with reduced service between New Haven and New York on select weekends from September 12 through November 1, 2026, to support critical high-tower cable removal for the WALK Bridge Replacement Project in Norwalk.

The present schedule indicates that the design will be completed in 2028, with construction anticipated to start in 2029.

CTDOT is holding an in-person public information meeting on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.

CTDOT is alerting the public that the replacement of railroad crossings on Route 202 (Litchfield Street), Vista Drive, Water Street, and Albert Street in Torrington will take place starting on September 12, 2026. 

CTDOT is developing plans for rubber chip seal treatment on Route 81 in Haddam.
