• 8/4/2021 Scheduled Short-Term Bus Service for Metro North Railroad New Canaan Line Customers

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing scheduled short-term bus service on the New Canaan Line, in lieu of train service, beginning Friday, August 13, 2021, at 8:30 PM, through Monday, August 16, 2021, at 5:00 AM. The temporary bus service is necessary to facilitate ongoing construction activities associated with the rehabilitation of Bridge 00032 carrying I-95 over Metro-North Railroad in Stamford.

• 8/4/2021 Scheduled Temporary Closure of the Orange Commuter Park and Ride Lot for Paving Operation

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled temporary closure of the Orange Commuter Park and Ride Lot off Route 15, Exit 58 at Route 34 (Greenway Road). The lot will be closed beginning at 11 PM on Sunday, August 29, 2021, and will reopen on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 6 AM. The closure is necessary to facilitate repaving of the lot.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (Department) Office of Engineering is developing plans to provide acceleration and deceleration lanes for all four ramps accessing Route 15 at interchange 59. The work also includes the addition of a new loop ramp to access Route 15 northbound from Route 69 southbound in New Haven and Woodbridge.

The detour is necessary to facilitate ongoing construction activities associated with the rehabilitation of Bridge 05844A carrying I-84 eastbound over Route 15 in East Hartford.

• 8/1/2021 Scheduled Two-Week Closure of Weed Avenue in Stamford for Bridge Replacement Construction Activity

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled two-week closure of Weed Avenue in Stamford at the intersection of Route 1 beginning on August 16, 2021. The closure and detour are necessary to facilitate ongoing construction activities associated with the replacement of Bridge 00315.

The closures will occur nightly from 11 PM to 6 AM. The closures are necessary to facilitate construction activities associated with the Route 8/I-84 Interchange (Mixmaster) rehabilitation project in Waterbury.
