Bridge Maintenance on I-91 in New Haven and North Haven
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that bridge maintenance will be performed on various bridges on I-91 northbound and southbound in New Haven and North Haven.
Work is scheduled to occur the evening of Monday, August 2, 2021, to the morning of Friday, October 8, 2021. Work and lane closures will occur Monday through Friday, between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. No lane closures will occur during the Labor Day Holiday period, Sept. 6, 2021 (Friday – Monday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
The following bridges will be addressed:
- New Haven: I-91 South over Mill River and State Street (Bridge #03015A)
- New Haven: Willow Street to I-91 South (Bridge #03015B)
- New Haven: I-91 South over Humphrey Street (Bridge #03088)
- New Haven: I-91 South over East Street (Bridge #03091)
- New Haven: I-91 North and South over Clinton Avenue (Br. #03092)
- New Haven: I-91 North and South over Willow Street (Bridge #03018)
- North Haven: I-91 South over SR715 (Montowese Avenue) (Bridge #03101)
