Closure of Maple Street On-Ramp (Ramp 5C) to Route 2 Westbound in East Hartford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the temporary closure of the Maple Street on-ramp (ramp 5C) in East Hartford to Route 2 westbound from Thursday, July 15, 2021, until Friday, July 30, 2021, weather permitting. The closure is necessary to facilitate ongoing construction activities.

The detour route will be signed appropriately and is as follows:

  • Travel westbound on Maple Street
  • Turn right on Main Street and continue north
  • Turn right onto Sutton Avenue
  • Turn left onto Cambridge Street
  • Straight onto Route 2 westbound on-ramp toward Hartford
