   M.6.2 Setting Up the Interface


1. On the Ribbon Home Tab > Primary grouping select the Explorer button. The dialog may be docked (collapsed) on the side of the interface. It can be dragged, docked, undocked, pinned and unpinned.

2. To dock the dialog, drag it by the title bar to a “docking glyph”. The Explorer dialog is used extensively, you want it readily available. Experiment to find the balance between ease of access and taking up screen space.

3. If you do not see everything you need to select Back Stage File > Settings > User > Explorer Settings and adjust as needed.

4. Once you find a setting that you like, you can click the Save Settings command.

5. On the Ribbon Home Tab > Primary grouping select the Properties button. To turn on the Properties Dialog box select the Properties button on the ribbon. This dialog may be docked (collapsed) on the side of the interface. It can be dragged, docked, undocked, pinned and unpinned.

6. To dock the dialog, drag it by the title bar to a “docking glyph”. The Properties dialog is used extensively, you want it readily available. Experiment to find the balance between ease of access and taking up screen space.

7. Once you find a setting that you like, you can click the Save Settings_command.
