Duplicate vessel registration

If the registration for your vessel (i.e., boats or other water vessels) is lost, stolen, or damaged/destroyed, you can request a duplicate vessel registration by appointment at a DMV office with your vessel registration number, or by mail.

Note: ONLY the owner of the vessel can request a duplicate registration.

In your written correspondence, please be sure to include:

  • Vessel registration number
  • Your name and address as it appears on your original registration
  • Your signature
  • Check or money order made payable to the "DMV" in the amount of $20 for the duplicate vessel registration fee.

Duplicate vessel registration fee: $20 

Note: The fee to obtain a copy of an original registration application is $20. This can also be done by mail (see address listed above). A copy of your driver's license or non-driver ID must be submitted with your written request.
