Residents without an appointment may experience longer wait times, as those with appointments will receive priority service. We will do our best to accommodate everyone. DMV TO PROVIDE CONVENIENT ACCESS TO SERVICES AT SENIORHOOD FAIR IN VERNON THIS WEEKEND

 

(HARTFORD, CT) - The Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is pleased to announce its participation in Tolland County’s upcoming Seniorhood Fair at Vernon Middle School in Vernon on Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. DMV employees will be onsite to offer information and convenient access to various services. 

“We are excited to be a part of the Seniorhood Fair in Vernon,” said DMV Commissioner Tony Guerrera. “After successfully participating in the Bloomfield Senior Services expo last month, and receiving an abundance of positive feedback, we are excited to maintain the momentum and eager to participate in more community events as part of our initiate to offer mobile services.” 

Commissioner Guerrera has prioritized the provision of mobile services with the goal of connecting residents with essential services right in their own community. 
 
The Seniorhood Fair aims to provide a one-stop shop destination for seniors to access essential services and resources. DMV will offer the following services (normal fees apply): 

  • Renewals - driver’s license, non-driver ID, accessibility parking permits 
  • Duplicates - driver’s license, non-driver ID, accessibility parking permits
  • Change of address

In a joint statement, Matt Hellman and Joan Cadieux, Co-Chairs for Seniorhood said, “The TCMT Seniorhood Fair is an opportunity for older adults and family members to chat with the service providers from Tolland County towns who support them.  A meet and greet event. The speakers and exhibitors were selected specifically to cover areas of interest to seniors. We hope people take advantage of this worthwhile event.” 

The Seniorhood Fair is free to attend, and all seniors are encouraged to attend. 

Additionally, numerous transactions are available online at ct.gov/dmv, enabling residents to conveniently complete their DMV-related transactions with just a few clicks at their own convenience.
