We collaborate with our Connecticut licensed dealerships to provide additional options to Connecticut residents who have purchased a vehicle from a private owner.

Dealerships can process passenger plates, vessels, combination plates, or commercial plates up to 73,000 pounds gross vehicle weight rating.

The DMV continues to offer registration services and provides customers with an alternate option.

Registration services offered by the dealership listed below require two checks. One is for the registration fees, which is processed through the DMV’s online system, and the second is forwarded by the dealership to the Connecticut DMV to pay the sales tax. These checks are necessary because the dealership doesn’t collect the sales tax through their automated system.

Don’t complete your registration transaction with any dealership charging more than $25, and immediately notify the DMV.
