Expired Registration
If your vehicle's registration has expired, please follow the instructions below to re-register your vehicle.
If your registration is expired less than two years :

Visit a DMV Hub or Limited Service Office. You may also pay your renewal online.

Be sure that your vehicle has met emissions testing requirements and has no outstanding compliance issues (i.e. Property Tax, Insurance, Emissions Test etc.)

Provide license plate number or registration renewal notice of expired vehicle.

You will pay a late fee of $10.00.
If your registration has expired for two years or longer, you will be required to obtain new license plates for the vehicle. Please follow these instructions:

Visit a DMV Hub or Limited Service office.

Provide license plate number or registration document of expired vehicle.

Present your Connecticut Driver's License.

Complete Application for Registration and Certificate of Title (form H-13B).

Provide current Connecticut Insurance Identification Card.

Be sure that your vehicle has met emissions testing requirements and has no outstanding compliance issues.
