  The Enterprise Networking Services (ENS) group, in conjunction with other Agencies, establishes the Network domain of the Enterprise Wide Technical Architecture Standards on network implementations and approved vendors.

  The Department of Administrative Services Bureau of Information Technology Solutions (BITS) Unified Communications Division provides telecommunications, end-user device support and Enterprise collaboration services to the State of Connecticut’s Executive Branch agencies.

  Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a method of computer access control in which a user is granted access only after successfully presenting several separate pieces of evidence to an authentication mechanism.

• Networking Services (DNS, DHCP)

  The Enterprise Network Services (ENS) group supports the provisioning of key networking services including Domain Name System (DNS) and Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP) for customers on both the state’s intranet and in the external facing application domains.

  Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are information systems application used for creating, manage, and analyze spatial information and Maps.

• Mainframe Platforms

  Mainframe computing services consist of the hosting and maintenance of customer applications on mainframe servers at the Groton, Connecticut (GDC) or Springfield, Massachusetts (SDC), secure data processing centers.

• Enterprise Storage

  The DAS BITS Storage Area Network (SAN) / Network Attached Storage (NAS) service provides a robust disk storage infrastructure utilized by both mainframe and midrange/ enterprise server platforms for the State of Connecticut client/ user community.

• Database Administration

  This service provides for the development and design of database strategies, monitoring and improvement of database performance, capacity planning for future expansion requirements, restoration of damaged databases, and planning, coordination and implementation of database security.

• Enterprise Secure File Transport Services

  DAS/BITS is pleased to offer Executive Branch state agencies our Enterprise Secure File Transport (SFT) Service for agencies that need to share sensitive content between other agencies, or business partners in a secure manner.

• Wide Area Networks

  The Enterprise Network Services (ENS) group provides Wide Area Networks (WAN) connectivit to all Executive Branch Agencies via BITS intranet infrastructure and content filtering and security support for entire State Intranet and access to the Internet.

• Custom Application Development

  The Applications Development Group of the Department of Administrative Services / Bureau of Information Technology Solutions (BITS) is committed to the design, development, implementation and integration of computer information systems in support of State of Connecticut Agencies and DAS Service Areas.

• BizNet Services

  BizNet is a DAS Application Framework used for in-house custom application development and support.

• Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Solutions

  DAS/BITS offers Enterprise Content Management (ECM) as a service to provide a standardized software for organizing and storing documents.

• Analytics & Business Intelligence Tools

  This service provides techniques and tools used in identifying, extracting, analyzing, querying, reporting, and predictive modeling of business data.
