DAS Construction Services administers Capital Building Construction Projects requested by Connecticut Executive and Judicial Branch State Agencies. DAS Construction Services collaborates with client agencies on the planning, design, and construction of major and minor Capital Building Construction Projects, ensuring ADA compliance, life and safety compliance, environmental compliance, and, when applicable, adherence to the Connecticut High Performance Building requirements, DAS Sustainability Policy and the Federal Government’s “Buy America Preference”.

Threshold Cost for Certain Consultant Services to be Deemed a Project: In accordance with Connecticut General Statutes Sections 4b-59a and 4b-55(6), the threshold cost for consultant services for a state program to be deemed a project for the purposes of sections 4b-1 and 4b-55 to 4b-59, inclusive, shall be as follows:

  • July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024: $750,000
  • July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025: $762,000
  • July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026: $771,144

Apply for DAS Construction Contractor Prequalification  

Any contractor that submits a bid on a DAS Construction Services construction project costing over $1,000,000 must prequalify with DAS if performing work in designated classifications.

Apply for SBE or MBE Certification 

Apply to become a DAS-certified small or minority business enterprise (S/MBE).

Apply for a Major Contractor's License 

Apply for a Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) Major Contractor’s License.
