Veterans' Benefits Timetable
Certain benefits are available to Veterans after they separate from the military. However, many of these benefits are only available for a specified time after separation, or they expire. The following information is designed to assist Veterans in accessing their benefits before they expire.

- CT Veterans Tuition Waiver
- Dental Treatment
- Disability Compensation
- Education (Montgomery GI Bill)
- Education (Veterans Education Assistance Program – VEAP)
- Health Benefits
- Home Loans
- Non-Service Connected Disability or Death Pension
- Readjustment Counseling
- Supplemental Insurance
- Unemployment Compensation
- Benefit Expires: Limited time, generally no more than 180 days after separation.
- Where to Apply: The State Employment Service (in Ct., the American Job Center offices). Bring a copy of your DD-214 Discharge Papers.
- Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment
- Veterans' Group Life Insurance (VGLI)
