Unemployment eligibility for non-citizens

Unemployment benefit eligibility requires filers to be legally authorized to work in the United States, be able and available for work, and meet other requirements set forth in the Claimant’s Guide to Benefits. You do not have to be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for unemployment benefits.
