1. Can you share your current role and key responsibilities within the State of Connecticut?
I serve as an Associate Accounts Examiner for the Office of School Construction Audit Unit, reporting to Chief Administrative Officer Melissa Conway. Based in Hartford but traveling year-round across Connecticut's 169 districts, our team conducts comprehensive on-site compliance audits of school construction projects. 2. What motivated you to pursue a career with the State of Connecticut, and what has been your journey here?
After a rewarding career in the non-profit sector, I chose to join the State, which has allowed me to apply my experience directly to supporting our local communities and ensuring our public organizations thrive.
3. What achievements at the State of Connecticut are you most proud of, and what impact have they had?
What I am most proud of is our team's career trajectory. Watching them rise from Accounting Career Trainees, successfully navigate the training process, and earn their promotions to Accounts Examiners has been incredibly rewarding. They are a testament to hard work and professional growth.
4. What hobbies or activities do you enjoy outside of your work, and how do they enrich your life?
When I'm not working, you can usually find me playing all kinds of games—from tabletop board games to video games. For me, it’s all about the connection. Whether we’re competing fiercely or collaborating to win as a team, the best part of any game is sharing the experience with the people around me.
5. Could you share a memorable travel experience and what made that destination special for you?
Of all our travels, my favorite vacations will always be our trips to Disney World with my wife and children. What makes it so special is how the experience evolves; every single trip feels completely fresh because I get to witness it through their changing, growing perspectives.
6. What advice would you give to someone considering a career with the State of Connecticut?

8. If you could have any superpower, what would it be and how would you use it to make a difference?
If I could have any superpower, it would be teleportation. It would completely eliminate my least favorite part of vacations, work, or any other activity: the commute.
9. Who is the person you admire, and what qualities do they possess that inspire you?
The person I admire most is Prince. As a singer and songwriter, his unmatched work ethic, fearless creativity, and absolute mastery of his craft are incredibly inspiring. He was never afraid to push boundaries and stay true to his artistic vision.
