CTDOL Releases the July Jobs Report
Commissioner Danté Bartolomeo today released the July jobs report showing that Connecticut employers added an estimated 700 jobs last month. June jobs numbers were revised to a 6,100 gain from an estimated 6,300 gain. The unemployment rate remains low and stable at 3.8%; marking the third consecutive year Connecticut has been below what economists widely consider the floor for unemployment, 4.0%.
CTDOL is warning residents of text scams that include links to fake webpages resembling CTDOL unemployment pages, including the unemployment benefits login page.
Additionally, the agency is reminding residents that receiving a 1099 tax form or a monetary determination letter may indicate that criminals are using your identity to try to claim unemployment benefits.
