Help for people receiving Temporary Family Assistance (TFA)
The Unemployment Insurance Re-Employment Services and Eligibility Assessment (UI RESEA) program helps people across the U.S. find a job faster.
If you’re selected for the program, you’ll receive a letter inviting you to a one-to-one meeting with an American Job Center employment specialist. If you can’t attend the meeting, the letter includes instructions for rescheduling it.
At your meeting, the employment specialist will:
- Discuss your eligibility for receiving unemployment benefits
- Review your work search approach and efforts
- Tell you how American Job Centers can help you find work
- Discuss careers that match your skills
- Help you develop a “re-employment” plan
If you’re selected for the program, you must participate. If you don’t, your unemployment benefits will be delayed and possibly cancelled.
