Unemployment benefits and self- employment

If you're self-employed part time or for extra work, you may be eligible for benefits if you have earned sufficient W-2 wages for an employer covered by the Connecticut Unemployment Compensation Act in the last 18 months.  Additionally, to be eligible for benefits, you must also meet other requirements, such as being able and available to work and actively looking for a job. We will reduce your weekly benefit by 2/3 of the amount of any payment you received for self-employed work.
