I manage the whole project lifecycle using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, overseeing communication plans, risk assessments, and decision-making processes. I ensure timely task completion through effective resource management and coordination with various DAS-BITS teams, including Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, Compute Services, Network, and Workforce Enablement. At project closeout, I compiled a detailed final report that includes budget analysis, deliverable completion status, and key lessons learned.

Over 22 years ago, I began my professional journey in the United States as an immigrant from India with entry-level programming experience. My career began at the Office of the Secretary of the State, where I laid the foundation for my growth in public sector technology. Fueled by a passion for learning and professional development, I advanced to roles at the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP). I later joined the Bureau of Enterprise Solutions and Technology (BEST), now known as the Bureau of Information Technology Solutions (BITS) within the Department of Administrative Services. Today, I serve as a dedicated Project Manager, bringing a wealth of experience across diverse technology platforms. This journey has not only broadened my technical expertise but also inspired me to embrace increasingly complex and innovative technological challenges.

I’m genuinely grateful for the opportunity to contribute to these impactful projects alongside such dedicated and skilled professionals.
4. What hobbies or activities do you enjoy outside of your work, and how do they enrich your life?
I find great joy in jogging and unwinding with superhero movies—whether it's the epic adventures from Marvel or the iconic heroes of DC. Both activities offer a welcome escape from the everyday stresses of work and home life. Sports are a big part of my family's life too. My children and I are passionate baseball fans, and our loyalty lies firmly with the New York Yankees. Every season, we make it a tradition to catch a few games at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx—an experience we always look forward to. And then there's cricket, a sport that has been close to my heart since my childhood days in India. Watching the Indian national team, one of the most formidable forces in international cricket today, fills me with pride. The Indian Premier League, with its electrifying matches and global fanbase, remains one of the most-watched sporting events in the world.
5. Could you share a memorable travel experience and what made that destination special for you?
Originally from India, I cherish the opportunity to visit my ancestral town with my family, reconnect with cousins, and relive cherished memories. These visits are filled with nostalgia and meaningful moments. During our travels, we’ve explored numerous religious and historical sites across India, offering my children a rich and immersive introduction to Hindu culture and heritage.
In addition, I’ve made several trips to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where my brother and his family reside. These vibrant cities, known for their stunning modern marvels, offer a unique blend of tradition and innovation that continues to captivate us with every visit.

As I work in the state's IT Bureau, I’ve witnessed firsthand the significant strides made through a comprehensive optimization initiative launched several years ago. This transformation has modernized operations and enhanced efficiency across agencies. The Department of Administrative Services’ Bureau of Information Technology Solutions (DAS BITS) plays a central role in this progress, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to support statewide agencies. 8. If you could have any superpower, what would it be and how would you use it to make a difference?
If I could choose a superpower, I would aspire to possess Tony Stark's genius-level intellect from Iron Man. His ability to engineer a powerful suit of armor and innovate at the highest level is nothing short of extraordinary. Beyond his brilliance, Stark’s charisma, confidence, and relentless pursuit of perfection—even in the face of personal flaws—make him a truly compelling character. I admire how he channels his intelligence and determination to overcome challenges, and I often wish I could embody some of those traits to refine myself and strive to become the best version of who I can be.
9. Who is the person you admire, and what qualities do they possess that inspire you?
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of independent India, was one of the most influential leaders of the Indian independence movement. Revered as the “Iron Man of India,” he earned this title through his unwavering strength, resolute determination, and visionary leadership in unifying a newly independent nation. One of his most remarkable achievements was the successful integration of over 560 princely states into the Indian Union following independence in 1947—a feat that required exceptional diplomacy and steadfast resolve. His unshakeable willpower and calm, strategic approach in the face of immense challenges continue to inspire me to confront even the most difficult situations with clarity and composure.
10. What’s an interesting or fun fact?
During my childhood in my hometown in India, two close friends and I would walk nearly five miles to school each day—a journey that remains etched in my memory. Our route included crossing a low-clearance railway underpass, which became especially challenging during the monsoon season. I still recall wading through water that often rose to our chests, our school bags held high above our heads to keep them dry. Despite the hardships, those years were filled with resilience, friendship, and unforgettable experiences. I spent over two decades in that town, and those early struggles shaped the foundation of who I am today.
