Public Transportation
CTDOT supports a variety of alternatives to driving alone, including express and local buses, three rail lines and other services to reduce traffic congestion and improve mobility in Connecticut and throughout the region. Information about these services and options is available through CTDOT's CTrides program at www.CTrides.com or 1-877-CTRIDES (1-877-287-4337). To encourage use of public transportation, CTDOT is offering a Free Trial Ride incentive on state-subsidized buses and existing vanpool routes with available seats.
