The Merit Rating Unit is responsible for charging or non-charging employer accounts for benefits paid and produce employer quarterly charge notices.
They respond to inquiries related to:
- Quarterly Statement of Experience Charges (Form QTR-CHRG)
- Employer protests (Form UI-21A)
- Employer appeals (Form UI-SEP_EMPLR) - Notice to Employer of Claims Determination Decision: Notifies the employer of the decision made by Adjudications. The form may show the decision was in your favor or in the claimant’s favor. If it is in the claimant’s favor, the form gives you 21 days to appeal the determination.
