Workforce Development Boards

Article

The five regional Workforce Development Boards in Connecticut focus on achieving comprehensive workforce development in our state. They help:

  • Increase employment, retention, and earnings
  • More people earn industry credentials

The Boards work on regional employment priorities and training needs with the Connecticut Department of Labor, other state agencies, and local organizations. These local organizations include community-based organizations, state and local organized labor, state and municipal government, human service agencies, economic development agencies, community colleges, secondary and post-secondary institutions, and vocational technical schools.
