Filing a Claimant Appeal in ReEmployCT

Filing a claimant appeal in ReEmployCT

Are you a claimant? Need to file an unemployment appeal because you disagree with the examiner’s decision? Log in to ReEmployCT, click on the File Appeal tab, and follow the onscreen prompts to file your appeal.

Be sure to file your appeal within 21 calendar days of the mailing date of the denial-of-benefits letter—it’s required. If you are late, the Appeals Referee cannot legally hear your case unless you show good cause for filing the appeal late. If the Appeals Division decides you have a good reason, the referee then will be able to hear your case.

Filing a Claimant Appeal In Person, by Mail, or by Fax

You can go in person to an American Job Center office to get help with filing your appeal. Alternatively, you can complete your appeal form in person at either of the two Appeals Division offices:

If you wish to file your appeal by mail, be sure to explain in your letter why you are making an appeal and send it to one of the addresses listed above. Please use U.S. mail, Airborne Express, DHL Worldwide Express, Federal Express, or United Parcel Service. If you use the U.S. mail, use a stamp; do not use a private postal meter. The date of U.S. mail is determined by the postmark.

You can also file your appeal via fax using the following addresses:
