Connecticut Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship Training (New Sponsors)
The CT Office of Apprenticeship Training is pleased to announce the official launch of the new E-License Apprenticeship system. Below you will find instructions on how to access your account.
As an Apprenticeship Sponsor/Employer, you will be provided the opportunity to email and invite hired apprentices into the program under your supervision.
- From your web browser go to the Connecticut eLicense website www.elicense.ct.gov
- For new Employer/Sponsors, Under "Access Your Account" click on the “Register” button.
- On the next page, select “Business” from below the “Register As:” category, and then specify if the business has already worked with other agencies
- From here, just continue to follow the prompts for creating your Employer/Sponsor account.
- We recommend use of a desktop or laptop computer to do maintenance; webpages may not display properly on a mobile device.
For New Sponsors, after completing the new account registration please click on Online Services - Initial Application, scroll down to find the “Apprenticeship Training Program” menu, click on the drop-down arrow, then click on “Start.”
This will start the Apprenticeship Training New Sponsor Application. Please follow all of the prompts until you have completed the application.
Upon completion of these steps, you will be able to access your sponsor/employer account. You will be able to Register New Apprentices, Update Journeyperson lists, Update Wage Progressions, Complete Apprentices, Separate Apprentices, & Add New Trade Programs.
All of these can be found under the “Online Services > License Maintenance” menu.
