The Trade Adjustment Assistance program
The TAA helps workers who lose their jobs or have their wages and work hours lowered because their firm has been hurt by competition from other countries. This federal program provides a variety of benefits and services to eligible workers, including:
- Job training
- Income support
- Job search and relocation allowances
- A wage supplement to certain reemployed workers who are 50 or older
