Denial of benefits letters

If we deny your claim for unemployment benefits, we will mail a denial of benefits letter to you. This letter will include:

  • The reason we denied your claim for benefits
  • The period of time you are ineligible for benefits
  • Information about your appeal rights

You have 21 calendar days from the mailing date of a denial letter to file an appeal challenging the denial of benefits.
