The Department of Administrative Services, Office of the State Building Inspector, in conjunction with the Codes & Standards Committee, is announcing its intent to adopt a new building code to be titled the 2022 Connecticut State Building Code.  This code will adopt the 2021 ICC family of code.  Details and information on submitting comments can be found on the Code Adoption web page.

State Building and Fire Safety Codes Update

 

The State Building Inspector, State Fire Marshal and the Codes and Standards Committee announce intent to adopt the 2022 State Building and Fire Safety Codes based on the 2021 editions of the International Code Council (ICC) documents.  Technical review of these codes will be conducted by the Committee’s Code Adoption Subcommittee (CAS) along with DAS staff.  This review will begin April 2021 and is planned to be completed October 2021. 

 

A listing of CAS meetings and anticipated subjects will be published on the Code Adoption web page.  Changes and additions will be reflected both in the posted meeting agendas and on the webpage.  Anyone interested in receiving informational and update emails may request to be included on our email list by e-mailing DAS.CodesStandards@ct.gov.
