Recovering unemployment overpayments
State law allows the Department of Labor to take state income tax refunds for overpayments. This includes the repayment of any interest payments owed, followed by principal.
The Department of Labor make also take your federal income tax refunds as part of the Treasury Offset Program (TOP).
