Appealing overpayment decisions

If the Department of Labor finds they have paid you more unemployment benefits than they should have, you will receive a letter that explains their decision and your appeal rights. You have 21 days from the letter’s mailing date to appeal the decision. If you appeal after 21 days, the Appeals Division is not obligated (required) to hear your appeal.
