- The employer must first be registered in CT DOL’s recruitment system at CTHires.com.
- The employer or their agent must complete a job order draft form and email the FLC unit for approval at DOL.H2Bprogram@ct.gov.
- Once the job order approval is received, the employer or their agent will test the labor market by posting a job order on CTHires.com where a job order number will be generated.
- The employer or their agent will provide this job order number to CT DOL’s FLC unit via email at DOL.H2Bprogram@ct.gov and, at the same time, electronically submit the H-2B application to the OFLC center through U.S. DOL's FLAG System, 90 to 75 calendar days before the employer’s date of need.
Employers without adequate access to electronic filing may file the application by mail. The employer must indicate that it is filing by mail due to inadequate access to electronic filing. The employer may mail the application package to the U.S. DOL’s OFLC Center at the following address, 90 to 75 calendar days before the employer’s date of need:
