Workers who have been unemployed for a minimum of six months are considered long-term unemployed. These workers offer several benefits as they are often able to start work immediately, relocate, accept a job that isn’t perfect and work hard to prove themselves. They are often mature, have experience and are resilient.

- Platform to Employment - Businesses receive a risk-free opportunity to evaluate and consider hiring participants during a paid work experience funded by Platform to Employment.
- Regional Workforce Development Boards - Provides support to employers through training and hiring workers. Local Business Service Representatives can assist with recruiting, hiring, training, or upskilling your workforce.
- Tax Credit Programs - The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) is a Federal tax credit available to employers for hiring individuals from certain target groups.
