Unemployment Insurance (UI) Tax Division - FAQs

Find answers to frequently asked questions about the new system's features, reporting requirements, account access, independent contractor criteria, audits, and resolving account or payment issues.

Sign into ReEmployCT and select Inquiry>Correspondence>view correspondence. 
Sign into ReEmployCT and select Account Maintenance>Request to Close Account.
Sign into ReEmployCT and select Account Maintenance>Maintain Address.
Send an email to dol.rateexchange@ct.gov requesting access.  Include your company name, federal identification number, contact person name, email and phone number, and a signed Certificate of Representation (COR) if not already submitted.  Login credentials will be created and emailed to the contact person noted in the request.  Instructions for file format will be included in the email.

If the adjustments/Credits are from prior quarters they will display on Prior Quarter Adjustments column. If these adjustments are within the quarter that is being billed you will see the final charged amount under Amount Charged and if they are totally reversed that Claimant will not appear on this statement.

CT DOL is a federally funded program and as such we are required to audit one percent of all active employers in the State of Connecticut each year. 
Wages means all remuneration for employment. Salaries, fees, bonuses and commissions are all wages. Tips, gratuities, dividends, and distribution of profits may also be deemed to be wages.

Log into your account online. Click on Inquiry>Correspondence>View Correspondence>Correspondence Search Type.  Select Tax, Benefits or Appeals. Skip Question 2 Claimant SSN if not applicable. Enter Correspondence Date Range. The date range cannot be greater than 30 days.

No. There is no statutory authority to waive interest, penalties, or late file fees.
