Unemployment Compensation (Chapter 567)
Connecticut General Statutes Section 31-226a(a) provides that “[n]o employer shall discharge, discipline, penalize or in any manner discriminate against any employee because the employee has filed a claim or instituted or caused to be instituted any proceeding under this chapter, or has testified or is about to testify in any such proceeding or because of the exercise by such employee on behalf of himself or others of any right afforded by this chapter.”Information for Employees
How to File a Wage or Unemployment Insurance Retaliation Complaint
Employees who believe their employer has discriminated or retaliated against them for making a wage complaint or filing for unemployment compensation may file a complaint with the Legal Division in any of the following ways:
