Share feedback on the Connecticut State Rail Plan update through our online survey, which collects input on how people use passenger rail, their travel patterns and preferences, and perspectives on future improvements to the rail system.
Upcoming Meetings
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is hosting a series of open houses as part of the Connecticut State Rail Plan update. The meetings will be held at the following locations:

These meetings are intended to provide the public an opportunity to learn about the Connecticut State Rail Plan update, provide feedback on the future of passenger and freight rail transportation in Connecticut, and speak directly with project team members. The Connecticut State Rail Plan is a federally-required planning document that establishes a vision for passenger and freight rail transportation throughout the state and identifies strategies, policies, and potential investments to support Connecticut's rail network. The updated Connecticut State Rail Plan is expected to be completed winter 2027. Comments and questions can be submitted during the public comment period following the final public meeting.

Language assistance may be requested by contacting the CTDOT Language Assistance Call Line (860) 594-2109. Requests should be made at least five (5) business days prior to the meeting. Language assistance is provided at no cost to the public and efforts will be made to respond to timely requests for assistance.
