CTDOT today announced that it is awarding more than $12 million in grants to 17 towns and cities throughout Connecticut for projects that will improve transportation accessibility and safety.
CTDOT is developing plans to upgrade existing aging Advanced Traffic Monitoring System (ATMS) Cameras and fiber optic communications infrastructure in Hartford, Windsor, South Windsor, Windsor Locks and Manchester.
CTDOT in collaboration with state and local law enforcement and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is launching a high-visibility anti-speeding enforcement campaign.
