The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will conduct a public informational meeting concerning the proposed traffic operation improvements on Route 63 at Route 202 and Route 118 on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Litchfield Intermediate School, 35 Plumb Hill Road in Litchfield. The meeting location is ADA accessible.
This public information meeting is being held to discuss the existing conditions, discuss feasibility of solutions, and receive public feedback prior to project initiation. The proposed project is in the early stages of concept development. No funding has been identified, and no schedule has been determined. A question and answer (Q&A) session will immediately follow the presentation. “This meeting is an opportunity for the project team to share conceptual plans and engage with the community before an official project is initiated. This project will improve safety and traffic operations around the Litchfield Green, while also improving multimodal connections,” said Connecticut Department of Transportation Project Manager Andrew Correia. “We encourage the public to attend this meeting to share their feedback with the CTDOT project team.”
Minor right-of-way impacts are anticipated for the realignment of sections of existing sidewalk. No impacts to the Litchfield Green are anticipated.

Language assistance is provided at no cost to the public and efforts will be made to respond to timely requests for assistance.
