Public Information Meeting on Roundabout Improvements at Route 4 and Route 63 in Goshen

CTDOT will conduct an in-person public informational meeting for the project will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the Goshen Center School Gymnasium at 42 North Street in Goshen. An open forum for individual discussions with project staff will begin at 6:30 p.m., with a formal presentation following at 7:00 p.m.

This meeting aims to inform the community about the proposed project, gather feedback, and answer any questions. For additional information, please visit: portal.ct.gov/DOTGoshen0054-0087.

This project will upgrade the existing circular intersection to a modern roundabout to improve traffic operation and safety for all users,” said Connecticut Department of Transportation Principal Engineer Scott Bushee. “We encourage the public to attend this meeting to share their feedback with the CTDOT project team to incorporate into the design.”

The proposed improvements will require two sliver property acquisitions that will be used for the construction of the new roadway geometry and sidewalk. Minor rights and easements may also be required and will be added as the design develops.

Construction is anticipated to begin fall 2027 based on the availability of funding, acquisition of rights of way, and approval of permit(s). The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $5 million. This project is anticipated to be undertaken with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
