The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will conduct an in-person public information meeting concerning the replacement of Bridge No. 04525 carrying Simsbury Road over West Branch Salmon Brook in Granby, on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at Granby Town Hall at 15 North Granby Road in Granby. The meeting location is ADA accessible.
The public information meeting is being held to provide the public and local community the opportunity to offer comments or ask questions regarding the proposed project. For additional information, visit https://portal.ct.gov/DOTGranby55-145.
“The project involves a full replacement of the bridge and roadway re-alignment to address geometric deficiencies that will help improve traffic flow and enhance safety for all users,” said Connecticut Department of Transportation Project Manager Marc Byrnes. “We encourage the public to attend this meeting to share their feedback with the CTDOT project team to incorporate into the design.”
Right-of-way impacts are associated with the proposed improvements including partial takes, slope easements, temporary construction easements and rights.
Construction is anticipated to begin spring 2027. The estimated cost for this project is approximately $7.3 million, with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
