Research Unit

The Research Unit administers Connecticut's federally funded State Planning and Research (SPR) Part II program, advancing innovative solutions for the state's transportation system. We partner with universities and subject matter experts across CTDOT to identify research needs, develop projects, and put results into practice for the engineers, maintainers, and planners who rely on them. Through national collaboration with transportation agencies across the country, we bring proven innovations back to Connecticut and share what we learn.
