Quitting part-time work
You may be eligible for unemployment benefits based on your full-time employment. To be specific:
- When you quit part-time work before you are laid off or furloughed from a full-time job, the wages you earned from part-time work cannot be used when deciding your eligibility and weekly benefits.
- When you quit part-time work after you are laid off or furloughed from a full-time job, your weekly benefits may be increased by 1/3 of the gross wages you were earning from part-time work. In other words, you will receive much less than you would make if you were still working part-time.
