Telephone hearings

Appeal hearings are the same whether they are held in person or on the phone. Carefully read the telephone hearing notice and follow its instructions to:

  1. Mail or fax your evidence as soon as possible before the hearing to the Appeals Division office where your hearing is scheduled and to the other people, businesses, and groups that will participate in the hearing. Their addresses will be listed on the hearing notice. Make sure you:
    • Black out personal identifying information from these documents, such as your social security number, phone number, and email address
    • Include your social security number in a cover letter to the Appeals Division so we can match the documents to your case file
  2. Call the Appeals Division on the day of the hearing.
