To get started, visit CT Gateway and register or log into your account. Once logged in, navigate to your dashboard and click on Contractor Prequalification Application to either access your existing application or create a new one.
Complete your application
Whether you are beginning a new application or renewing, review and update each section, including required documentation. Detailed instructions are provided on each application page. For each classification, ensure that all performance evaluations are completed. Pay the fee by credit card and click Submit. If you need assistance, review the links below.
Review and Renew
Applications are reviewed in the order received. A reviewer will communicate with you through email so check your email regularly after submitting your application. If your company does not respond to requests within a two-week period, the application will be closed, and you will need to re-submit.
If your application is approved, you'll receive a link to your electronic certificate, which is valid for 1 year. You may renew your prequalification status 90 days prior to expiration. In order to continue participation without interruption, renew early!
Register with the Secretary of State
All business types are eligible for prequalification. However, except for sole proprietorships and general partnerships, your company must be registered with Connecticut’s Secretary of the State, and your annual filings must be up to date.
