The Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (DAS) today announced that, while most DAS-managed state office buildings are expected to open as normal following the major winter storm that impacted the state, the Uncas-on-Thames campus in Norwich will remain closed to the public on Tuesday due to facility maintenance issues following the storm.
State agencies have been working in coordination to assess conditions and ensure that buildings are safe and accessible for employees and the public. Snow removal and site treatment operations are ongoing to address any remaining icy conditions.
The Uncas-on-Thames campus includes the following agencies:
- Department of Developmental Services (DDS)
- Department of Social Services (DSS)
- Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS)
- Department of Revenue Services (DRS)
- Various nonprofit and municipal agencies
Level 1 and 2 state employees working at the Uncas on Thames Campus should refer to yesterday’s announcement for reporting guidance. All other Level 2 employees are to return to their normal work schedules.
State officials will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed. Employees and members of the public are encouraged to check with individual agencies or visit the state’s official website for the latest information regarding specific programs and services.
