DAS Launches Refreshed Jobs Website for Executive Branch Applicants

Refreshed Website Provides Easier Navigation for Job Seekers to Explore Open Positions

(HARTFORD, CT) – Today, Commissioner Michelle Gilman of the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) announced the launch of a refreshed website for applicants applying to Executive Branch positions with the State of Connecticut.  The refreshed website, CT.gov/CTStateJobsis part of a greater effort by the State of Connecticut to recruit talent in a competitive marketplace.

“Here at DAS and with our partner agencies, we are committed to recruiting outstanding talent to ensure the delivery of quality, efficient services for all of our residents,” Commissioner Gilman said. “We continue to utilize creative recruitment strategies in a highly competitive labor market to fill high-need vacancies, and enhancing Connecticut's jobs website is one part of our strategy," Commissioner Gilman said.

The updated website comes after DAS launched an ongoing statewide marketing campaign recruiting health and direct care workers in the fall and the State Workforce Stats Dashboard on the Open Data Portal in January. “Our Talent Solutions Team has done an incredible job growing our digital recruitment presence and projecting the State of Connecticut’s Employer Value Proposition (EVP). Their work together with the efforts of our partner agencies have resulted in a stable workforce, and growing in some areas, across the Executive Branch,” Deputy Commissioner and Chief Human Resources Officer Nicholas Hermes said.

According to the State Workforce Stats Dashboard on the Open Data Portal, as of February 1, 2023, Connecticut’s Executive Branch employee count had trended upwards to 30,625 which is the highest since 2016. DAS will continue to update and modernize the state's jobs website to reflect the needs of applicants and state agency partners.
