Non-Priority List Grant Process – Step 4: DAS Final Plan Review

After OGA confirms your Non-Priority List application is complete and issues a grant commitment letter, the next major milestone is DAS Final Plan Review.

During this step, the DAS Plan Review team will review the final design documents for the project to confirm adherence with program and eligibility requirements. The district will meet with the DAS Plan Review team in a Final Plan Review meeting.

Why This Step Matters

The district must receive written approval of the final project plans before going out to bid on any phase to remain eligible for grant assistance. Note that the grant commitment letter is not the same as final plan review approval.

What Districts Should Do

  1. Schedule a Design Conference (if not done already; see Step 2) to review program requirements and next steps for plan approval with the DAS Plan Review team by emailing DAS.planreviewschools@ct.gov.
  2. Prepare for Final Plan Review. The DAS Plan Review team will explain the Final Plan Review process and submission requirements (typically, final design documents and required forms/checklists). View our comprehensive technical resources and forms website here.

What NOT to Do Yet

To remain eligible for grant assistance, do not put any phase of the project out to bid until DAS Plan Review has approved the final plans.
