Priority List Grant Process – Step 1: Office of Grants Administration (OGA) Posts Priority Event

Read time: 6 minutes

The Priority List grant process begins when the Office of Grants Administration (OGA) posts a new Priority List application event.

During this event, school districts can submit applications for major school construction projects, such as new buildings, additions, or renovations. Applications received by June 30 will be considered for placement on the following year’s Priority List (i.e., an application filed on June 30, 2027 would be considered for placement on the 2028 Priority List).

Before starting an application, districts should review all requirements, gather necessary materials, and coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure they meet the June 30 deadline.

What happens next?

OGA will determine whether an application received by June 30 is complete and includes all required documentation. Projects for which a complete application was submitted will be placed on the Priority List and must be approved by the Connecticut General Assembly before the district can receive state funding.
