How Token Transit Works

 

As buses approach, customers who purchased passes via Token Transit will be able to open their app and tap on the pass to activate it.

 

The applicable period (31 days) for which the ticket is available begins once the pass is activated.

Once on the bus, customers should follow the instructions in the app to validate the ticket and show the bus operator.

31-day local bus passes can be purchased on a monthly or as-needed basis.

Every 6 months, eligible state employees must renew their registration (see Step-by-Step instructions) through Token Transit using their “ct.gov” or other approved executive branch domain (TBD) work email address to receive a new 8-digit unique code to receive access to the 10% discount. January 1, 2025, will be the first renewal date.
