Welcome to the webpage for Project No. 0152-0163, Lane Reconfigurations on Route 32 at Old Norwich Road and SR 693 in Waterford.
A public informational meeting for the project was held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the Waterford Town Hall at 15 Rope Ferry Road in Waterford at 6:00 p.m.
The project involves adding a dedicated right-turn lane from Route 32 northbound to State Route 693 to reduce congestion and related crashes at the intersection of Route 32, State Route 693, and Old Norwich Road. This meeting aims to inform the community about the proposed project, gather feedback, and answer any questions.
Right-of-way impacts are limited to rights to reconstruct and grade residential driveways within the project limits.
Construction is expected to start in fall 2027, depending on funding and permits. The estimated cost is $11 million with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
